Original one-sheet for the 1936 MGM release of Laurel and Hardy’s feature OUR RELATIONS, produced by Hal Roach. Ollie and Stan (or “Bert and Alf,” their boisterous sailor twins) are depicted in art by Al Hirschfeld, along with co-star Lona Andre.OUR RELATIONS Filmed March 16 through May 9, 1936; released by MGM October 30. More Al Hirschfeld artwork of Laurel and Hardy – and co-star Lona Andre – highlights this one-sheet for one of the team’s finest feature films. Stan and Ollie, pillars of their community, are embarrassed when their long-lost twin brothers, sailors Bert and Alf, visit while on shore leave. The gobs are entrusted by their captain with a pearl ring, which causes grief for both sets of Laurels and Hardys, who are continually being mistaken for their twins. Based partially on a short story (“The Money Box”) by English author W. W. Jacobs, the film benefited from the smooth direction of Harry Lachman and the outstanding cinematography of Rudolph Maté. The supporting cast included Alan Hale, Iris Adrian, Sidney Toler (later renowned as the movies’ Charlie Chan) and Arthur Housman.

There’s a handling charge of $24.95 (per item) for international shipments, and you will, of course, be responsible for any tariffs, duties, import fees or other requirements imposed by your government. In the event that you refuse to accept a shipment, and the item is returned to ScreenBid, you will be subject to a charge of 25% of the purchase price of the returned item, plus all shipping charges incurred in the shipment and return shipment of the item. The balance of the price paid for the item and related fees will be issued only as a credit to be used against future auction purchases.

Buyer’s Premium:

Purchase Price: The total purchase price to be paid by the winner of the bid (the “Buyer”) is, and the Buyer acknowledges it is responsible for and agrees to timely pay, the sum of the final bid price (the highest bid acknowledged and accepted), plus a “buyer’s premium” of 24% of the final bid price, plus all applicable state and local sales and/or use taxes and license fees, plus any and all costs and expenses incurred on behalf of the Buyer, such as handling fees, shipping costs and insurance costs (collectively, the “Total Purchase Price”).

Q: I saw something I love. How do I bid on it?

Easy. Once you’ve logged in to your ScreenBid account and found something – or a few somethings – you’re interested in, type in the amount you’d like to bid and click the “Bid Now” button.

Q: Will I know if someone has outbid me?

You sure will. We’ll email you.

Q: Can the computer bid for me?

Sort of. You can set a maximum bid – some people call it a “proxy bid” on any item. If someone bids higher than your earlier bid, the computer will automatically increase your bid until you either win or reach your maximum. Other bidders won’t know that you’ve placed a maximum bid. They’ll just know that they have been outbid.
